1. Trigger when a deal is marked closed-won.
2. Pull scope, commercials, contacts, and onboarding requirements.
3. Create client-facing onboarding checklist and intake request.
4. Create internal handoff summary and owner assignments.
5. Generate kickoff agenda and first-week task list.
6. Track missing inputs and send reminders.
7. Escalate blockers before kickoff.

- Do not assume scope details that were not agreed.
- Keep client-facing communication simple and low-friction.
- Track incomplete onboarding explicitly.When to Use This
Use this when the post-sale handoff keeps dropping details or onboarding quality depends too much on whoever happens to be running it that week.
It is useful for agencies, consultancies, and service teams where a smoother first week improves delivery and client confidence.
Why It Works
The workflow bridges commercial and operational context. That is the whole point. Client onboarding breaks when the delivery team starts with partial sales memory and vague assumptions.
Tracking incomplete inputs explicitly is also important. Many onboarding delays come from invisible missing information.
How to Customise
Swap in your own CRM trigger, project system, intake form, and kickoff template.
If some clients need different onboarding paths, segment the workflow by service line instead of forcing one path to fit everything.
Limitations
This improves onboarding mechanics, but it does not fix bad scoping or poor expectation-setting from the sales process.
Human oversight is still needed if the deal terms are complex or the handoff is commercially sensitive.
Model Notes
Model-agnostic overall. Claude is strong at summary and client-facing draft tone, while GPT is useful where the workflow depends on structured task generation.
